Haitian-American artist and designer Jhordyn Tyzahiah Innocent known professionally as Takumi Poncho creates work that lives at the intersection of abstraction, technology, and fashion. Born and raised in Spring Valley, New York, and now based in Palm Harbor, Florida, his artistic voice bridges digital and physical worlds, weaving together cultural heritage with a contemporary vision.
Working fluidly across mediums, Takumi blends acrylics and spray paint with innovative materials such as IR flock sheet (akin to Vantablack), collage, and generative visuals coded in p5.js. When the limits of the canvas are reached, his practice extends into cut-and-sewn ponchos, transforming paintings into wearable works of art.
His group exhibitions in both New York and Florida, along with large-scale murals and experience in UX/UI design, reflect a rare fluency between the tactile and the digital. Every piece carries his hallmark fusion of craftsmanship and concept art that is deeply personal, yet expansive enough to resonate universally.
